Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars will mark Emma Slater’s 20th season in the ballroom. That is truly an impressive feat. She took home the Mirrorball in Season 24, when she was partnered with Rashad Jennings. However, since that time, Emma has hit a bit of a dry spell.
Still, Emma is one of the fan favorite pros on DWTS. She also serves as co-host of the Dancing with the Stars live shows. For several seasons, Emma has been paired with an older gentleman, leading to a wild internet rumor. Now, Emma is finally setting the record straight.

For Season 34, Emma is dancing with comedian and actor Andy Richter. Andy will bring his comedic chops to the ballroom, which is always a plus. In recent seasons, Emma has danced with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky and actor Reginald VelJohnson.
US Weekly reported that Emma shot down the gossip about pairing with older celebrities in a TikTok comment. A user in a DWTS fan account wrote, “Emma said in an interview that she and Britt [Stewart] plan the tours so they usually take the ones who most likely won’t make it far.” WOW.
Welp, Emma hopped in the comments to correct the misinformation. “This is a rumor, just FYI. Not sure how it got started! I definitely don’t plan or choreograph the tour,” Emma stated.
Meanwhile, Emma recently confirmed her relationship with fellow DWTS pro, Alan Bersten. I love a ballroom romance. I am here for it! “It will be really good to be able to, umm, to lean on each other during the season. It gets really stressful sometimes,” Emma said, referencing her relationship with Alan.
Dancing with the Stars Season 34 will premiere on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
