Aaron Phypers Hits Back at ‘Abusive’ Denise Richards’ Domestic Violence Accusations

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.

Another day, another allegation in the ongoing divorce between Aaron Phypers and estranged wife Denise Richards. Aaron responded to the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s allegations of domestic abuse. He claims she’s the “abusive” one in their relationship.

It’s a twisted web, and the former partners are continuously making accusations against one another. Aaron initially surprised Denise when he filed for divorce last July. But that surprise didn’t last long. She soon filed for a restraining order, saying that Aaron was emotionally and physically abusive.

Aaron is now hitting back at those claims. According to PEOPLE, he filed a response to Denise’s domestic violence restraining order. In Denise’s original filing, she alleged “repeated abuse” throughout their marriage.

She also requested that Aaron stay away from her, pay expenses caused by the abuse, spousal support, and enter into an intervention program, to name a few. To each of Denise’s orders Aaron said he would “not agree to the requested order,” reiterating that he’s refuting her claims.

“There is no need for such orders, as I have not abused her and will not abuse her,” he said. He mentioned that Denise is the one calling and messaging him and his father “frequently.” In his response he alleged, “As well as asking other family and friends to ask me to call her so often that it should be considered harassment, demonstrating that she is not afraid of me and that she is the aggressive one.”

Aaron provided screenshots of his call history showing Denise called several times on several different dates. She called on August 15, 17, and 21. She called six times on September 2 and four times on September 12.

He also alleged she put a tracker on his vehicle and even got into an altercation with his family when she came to get her things the first time on August 2. Aaron accused her of smashing his mobile phone and putting it in the trash.

He claimed that her abuse allegations were merely a means of preventing him from obtaining spousal support.

Denise hasn’t replied to these allegations yet. As it stands, the court permitted her to return to their (very messy) Calabasas home to pick up her things on September 13. Aaron went to get his things from their townhouse and office on September 15.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
