Casting rumors about The Real Housewives of New York are continuing to gain traction. A newly minted group of newbies was brought in for Season 14 of RHONY. After Season 15 of the franchise wasn’t as successful as Bravo had hoped, the show was once again paused.
Recently, Andy Cohen spilled some casting news. He stated that some “new” housewives have been found, and “a few have been determined.” However, the executives at Bravo “haven’t rounded it out yet.”
Fans already know that Brynn Whitfield and Rebecca Minkoff both quit. So, could RHONY fans get a mix of new and familiar faces?
RHONY fans hoping for the OGs to return may be disappointed by the cast
To add fuel to the fire, the RHONY casting team posted a message via Instagram. “Before everyone and their mother texts me …. FAKE NEWS!!!!!” Of course, this remark could be in reference to gossip that some of the RHONY OGs could be making a comeback.
Luann de Lesseps previously stated, “I think something’s cooking because there’s been a lot of talk about the OGs. I think there’s a real demand for the OGs to come back.” I second that motion.
“There’s a lot of hope and speculation from fans, but from what the OG cast members are hearing, Bravo is filming with some of the new women and adding even more new women to the mix,” a source told RadarOnline. The insider added that RHONY fans don’t “like to keep meeting new people.”
The source continued, “It would be amazing for them to keep some of the new women and put some of the original girls back in the mix with them.” Meanwhile, there were also rumors that a RHONY: Legacy spinoff could be in the works. Sadly, it sounds like that isn’t the case. The insider stated, “The women haven’t heard anything.”
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
