Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp has been open and vulnerable about her cancer battle. The podcaster and reality star has fans, friends, and family all rooting for her. Teddi’s cancer journey began in 2022. Since that time, she has undergone 17 surgeries to remove melanoma spots.
Sadly, in 2025, Teddi was diagnosed with tumors in her lungs and brain. Unfortunately, her check-ups with her physician didn’t detect the spread of the cancer. Once her diagnosis changed, Teddi underwent multiple treatments, such as surgery, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. Now Teddi is sharing a health update, and thankfully, it is positive news.
Teddi Mellencamp is still in treatment amid her cancer battle
During an episode of her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, Teddi shared some exciting news. “Just to give a little life update at this point. There is no detectable cancer,” Teddi stated. “Not in remission or anything like that.”
Her co-host, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania, couldn’t contain her emotions. “Get out! How am I supposed to carry on after this?” Dolores exclaimed. “F*ck the episode. Oh, Teddi!”
Teddi added, “I still need to stay on immunotherapy for another year.” When Dolores asked if Teddi’s children knew about her news, she replied, “It’s just Slate [Arroyave] that really understands. People think just because you know the cancer’s gone that I’m … I can’t still get sick or whatever,” she explained. “But it’s … I’m still in treatment.”
For the past few months, Teddi has had a difficult time dealing with the physical and emotional effects of her cancer. In July, she took a break from the immunotherapy, as it was making her sick. She also confided that she was “really lonely” amid her cancer battle.
