Karen Huger’s prison sentence will likely dominate the new season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The Season 10 premiere showed footage of Karen leaving prison after serving six months. She wasn’t exactly shown on camera. So there is a lot of speculation on how jail changed her, both physically and emotionally.
At least there is her RHOP frenemy Gizelle Bryant to fill in some of the blanks. Candiace Dillard Bassett spoke of Karen’s big comeback in an interview. Also for her need to rest and recover after such an experience. However, Gizelle gave a much different answer when asked about Karen now that she is home again.
Andy Cohen asked Gizelle Bryant how Karen Huger was doing after her prison release
Andy Cohen asked Gizelle if she had contacted Karen since her release on September 2, 2025. The RHOP veteran was on Watch What Happens Live to speak about the new season. And the Bravo executive producer asked, “speaking of Karen, we got a lot of questions wanting to know if you’ve spoken to Karen.”
“Yes I have,” Gizelle answered. “She’s doing good. She looks good. She gained a little weight. She said there are carbs in jail.”
Since Karen and Gizelle made a reality TV career out of throwing shade at each other, Andy immediately picked that answer up as just that. He said, “I’m sure she’s thrilled for that to be the first thing you say about her.”
The GnA Apparel co-founder denied having any ill intentions with that statement. She clarified, “I wanna say, gained weight in a great way. She got like a nice little booty. She looks really good.”
“Well maybe she also gained mindfulness,” Andy suggested.
“Oh yes of course. all those things too. But I really missed her so I’m super happy she’s home,” Gizelle artfully replied.
RHOP is just starting up again. It will be interesting to see how the duo interact in this new reality.
