Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.
Neither side is taking prisoners in the ongoing court battle between Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers. New evidence from the trial shows that the star made reference to her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen and categorically stated that no matter how bad things got with Charlie, things with Aaron are even worse.
Aaron filed for divorce last July. The filing blindsided Denise, but since then, the allegations have been non-stop, and the former couple are continuously in the news. Denise accused Aaron of physical violence, and Aaron accused her of cheating. It’s really ugly.
Denise Richards says Charlie Sheen “never hit below the belt” like ex Aaron

Now, even more insight into the divorce has surfaced. The ex-couple appeared in court in Los Angeles on October 7 about a temporary restraining order that Denise was granted against her estranged husband. She’s seeking to make it permanent.
During the hearing, a video of Denise was played that was recorded in August. According to PEOPLE, the actress sent the video to Aaron on August 21, weeks after he filed for divorce, and she was moving things out of the studio townhouse.
Aaron’s lawyers played the whole video in court. In it, Denise compared her marriage to Aaron to her previous marriage to Charlie. “Things were bad with Charlie and I, but he never hit below the belt,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said. “I don’t know you. Charlie, I knew. Every other ex, I knew. You, I don’t know. That’s why this has been really f*cking hard.”
She went on to say she didn’t “even know who the f*ck you are,” to Aaron, and told him she gave him everything. She shared her shock at his filing for divorce. “I thought you were my soulmate,” she said, thinking Aaron would protect her but realizing he was “the opposite.” Denise was clearly emotional in the courtroom while the video played.
It’s really no holds barred in this separation. Aaron’s lawyers claim he’s going to pull out all the stops to emerge victorious. This may even include calling Denise’s ex, Charlie, to the stand and other character witnesses like Brandi Glanville.
Meanwhile, Denise is reiterating Aaron’s domestic violence. While Aaron denies this, his cousin testified that she saw the violence in person. Denise said her ex almost killed her many times and caused at least “three concussions” during their relationship.
