Let’s be real — we’re all still gagging over the Osefos getting slapped with more than a dozen fraud charges the other day. It’s a disaster for them, but the show must go on! The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10, Episode 2, “Mint to Be Shady,” still hit our screens on Sunday night, and the mess felt even more magical.
If you spent the whole hour squinting at Wendy’s ring finger, wondering if she happened to wear the “stolen” wedding band she allegedly mentioned to investigators, you’re not alone, and we’ve got you covered on anything you might have missed.
What Happened in The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 2?
Episode 2 picked up right where we left off in the premiere: Stacey and Ashley yelling at each other at the Second Bloom Ball. Unfortunately for Stacey, the heat didn’t stop there. Poor girl stayed in the hot seat for the rest of the episode, and honestly, she deserves a medal for the mental gymnastics she pulled trying to spin every rumor thrown her way. Then, by the end of the episode, yet another new story about her came to the surface, and it’s about to send this group into a tailspin.
Ashley and Stacey go head-to-head at the Second Bloom Ball
At the Second Bloom Ball, Ashley kept digging into Stacey’s murky divorce timeline. Some random man popped up trying to back Stacey, and we’re still trying to figure out why. Sir, please step out of the frame. Do you not see that these ladies are working?
“Principle is very important to me,” Ashley told Stacey. “We can be a lot of things. We can’t be liars.”
With that, Ashley stormed off — only to circle back moments later, this time with the entire cast watching. One by one, everyone came for Stacey: Keiarna, Wendy, and Angel all chimed in, turning Stacey into Season 10’s official punching bag. It’s a storyline we’ve seen too many times across Housewives franchises lately. We’re already exhausted, and Stacey seems like she could be losing steam, too.
“I don’t understand why this group of women has suddenly turned against me,” a defeated Stacey said in her confessional. “Quite frankly, I am being unjustly beat down.”
Is Stacey trying to compete with Happy Eddie?
Despite the drama, Wendy extended an olive branch, inviting Stacey to clear the air after the Second Bloom Ball. The two still had lingering tension from the Season 9 reunion, where Gizelle accused Stacey of launching a cannabis line inspired by Happy Eddie’s success. As Bethenny Frankel once said, “They call it a cheater brand.”
Stacey arrived at Wendy’s house, claiming she just wanted to clear up the “lies” being spread about her. Instead, she wound up confirming everything Gizelle said. There is a Happy Stacey!
“I have a cannabis line that is coming out,” Stacey admitted. “The talks to begin this line didn’t start until March.”
Wendy seemed unfazed. She knew Gizelle wasn’t lying about that, and she simply let Stacey talk in circles about the timeline of the weed line. Ultimately, there’s room for both of them in the weed world, just like there’s room for both Wendy and Karen in the candle game. Mark this down as one rumor that Stacey has squashed.
Ashley is on the rebound
Episode 2 also had us catching up on the ladies’ home lives. We met Tia’s family of four, learned more about Angel and her husband, and discovered that Ashley is officially rebounding with a guy she dumped in favor of Love Hotel.
Remember Josh, the guy who sort of looks like Jack Harlow if you squint really hard? They’re back together! She explained how it all went down right before she and Gizelle jetted off for the Housewives spinoff show.
“Josh and I had a pause,” Ashley said in a confessional. “I was very forthcoming with him that I needed to do Love Hotel, and he didn’t like that conversation.”
Ashley chose Love Hotel over Josh, but their romance rekindled months later when she sent him a drunk text. Now, the cameras followed them as he picked her up for a date. They were going to the White House Correspondents’ dinner, but they looked more like two teenagers going to prom. Sure enough, Ashley admitted that his age was her only hesitation about him. She’s not used to younger guys.
Truths and Tranquilitea
Angel met the RHOP women for the first time at the Second Bloom Ball, but they spent so much time ganging up on Stacey that she barely got a chance to speak. She decided to throw a “Truths and Tranquilitea” party as a way for the women to get to know her, while also offering up a chance for the group to enjoy some zen. Of course, it didn’t go that way. It doesn’t matter how many singing bowls you bring out onto our patio — Housewives are going to Housewife.
Sure enough, Stacey arrived at the event and was immediately greeted with a bowl of mints. Subtle shade. In front of everyone, Ashley called her out again for having bad breath. Not so subtle shade. At this point, you almost have to feel bad for Stacey, but she handled it gracefully. She took the mint.
“If today’s issue with me is my breath compared to what I’ve gone through the last few times we’ve met, I’ll take the mint,” she quipped in her confessional.
After a brief sound bath and some breathwork, Stacey pulled Ashley aside. She said she’d been “praying” about their issues, and faith guided her to share her divorce documents. She dropped the receipts to get Ashley off her back.
Now, did those receipts actually prove she’s divorced? Not really. Gizelle pointed out they didn’t seem notarized. Either way, everyone agreed to let it go, just in time for a new Stacey scandal to erupt.
Karen’s birthday celebration gets shady
Throughout Episode 2, Gizelle kept us updated on Karen’s jail life through her friend Cookie, who was in the courtroom when Karen was sentenced and is one of the few people allowed to speak to her on the phone.
According to Cookie, who is absolutely hilarious, Karen is thriving behind bars. She’s reading, working out, and apparently being revered by her fellow inmates. Ray, meanwhile, is spending his time golfing.
To celebrate Karen’s birthday, Cookie met up with Gizelle, Ashley, and Keiarna at Tally Ho, Karen’s favorite breakfast spot. What started as a sweet little breakfast date over eggs and bacon turned into a gossip sesh. Karen wouldn’t have had it any other way.
As they sat around the table, Cookie casually mentioned that Chris Samuels had been texting her, perfectly setting Ashley up for an alley-oop.
“Chile, not me finding out that Stacey has been trying to get with Chris Samuels,” Ashley blurted out.
According to Ashley, a friend told her that Stacey reached out asking to be introduced to Chris, aka Monique’s ex-husband. Apparently, Ashley’s friend did set them up, and that reveal had everyone’s jaws on the ground. How does Stacey find the time to get involved in so much mess?
Gizelle summed it up perfectly: “There’s a whole man you paid to be your boyfriend. There’s a whole divorce we can’t find. There’s a whole former Potomac husband you’re trying to have sex with. Call Monique. Get Monique in the chat!”
