When it rains it pours, and it’s definitely raining at Wendy Osefo’s house.
Last week the Real Housewives of Potomac star and her husband Eddie Osefo were arrested on charges of fraud. Whether the 16 charges (seven of which are felonies) will cost Dr. Osefo her job with Bravo is still TBD.
However, her other employer, Wesleyan University, has decided to terminate her position as a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Sociology. The school released a statement today that left no doubt as to her status.
Per the college: “Wendy Osefo is no longer an employee of Wesleyan University”

“Wendy Osefo is no longer an employee of Wesleyan University,” the statement simply said.
In addition to her Wesleyan position, Wendy was also a professor at Johns Hopkins University before her resignation in 2024. She holds degrees from both Johns Hopkins and Temple University, as well as a Ph.D. from Rutgers.
According to TMZ, the felonies stem from the couple allegedly committing fraud in excess of $300. In addition, they face one misdemeanor count of falsifying their statement to a police officer.
Last year after returning from a trip to Jamaica, the couple claimed they were robbed during their vacation. They came home to find their bedroom ransacked and reportedly told officers that several designer bags had been stolen. Wendy also reported a missing diamond ring that she was later photographed wearing. Oops!
The news of Dr. Wendy and her cannabis brand founder husband’s arrest comes shortly after castmate Karen Huger was released from prison. Karen served only six months of a one-year sentence for multiple DUIs. Castmates and fans are still debating whether she would be allowed to eventually return to RHOP.
Meanwhile, in addition to her Potomac castmates, Wendy’s Wesleyan colleagues and students are buzzing with the news of her arrest.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
