Well, I guess the Underworld has officially frozen over. After years of mud-slinging, gossip headlines and family estrangement, the Gorgas and the Giudices have made peace with each other. Sources are confirming that Teresa Giudice finally hugged it out with Joe and Melissa Gorga.
So what actually happened when the long-dueling Real Housewives of New Jersey family finally came to the table together?

According to an inside source, Teresa, her brother and his wife decided they had to settle their differences so they could all “get back to work.” Since RHONJ’s Season 14 wrapped a year ago, the show has been on hiatus. The future of the show is uncertain and recasting rumors have circulated.
“They definitely met,” a source told Radar Online. The insider was hopeful the meeting could be a “first step” toward healing their troubled relationship. They also added that it was a “necessary step” toward the show finally being able to film Season 15.
Though the meeting wasn’t filmed, another source said it was a positive sit-down. “Things were really good when they left,” the insider shared. “They stayed there all day and talked things out, and they’re absolutely in a better place.”
Like the rest of us, the source felt it was “a good start” to healing, and it will be “interesting” to see where this goes.
Before the meeting, another insider said that Teresa is ready for “peace.” Furthermore, she claims to be “truly over the drama.”
“She’s at a point in her life she just wants to have serenity,” the source added. “There has been so much back and forth with Joe and Melissa over the years, she just is ready to let it go once and for all and attempt to move forward.”
As for Melissa, she insists she’s always been “team family.” Even though she didn’t think she would ever “get there,” she says she’s it’s not about the show. Mostly, she just wants to “show my children that this is no way to live.”
“This isn’t normal,” she insisted. “This has to get fixed. God forbid something ever happens. Everybody needs to be able to speak to one another.”
