Mia Thornton is back on social media. The Real Housewives of Potomac alum was arrested last Wednesday in Atlanta for allegedly stealing $11,000 worth of furniture. The shock arrest was caught on camera. And now that Mia is done processing the incident, she is posting to Instagram again. Perhaps some support from followers is in order.
The former Bravolebrity is being accused of taking the items from a furnished condo that she was renting. Supposedly, Mia moved out in the middle of the night. And allegedly taking the furniture with her.
Mia Thornton has a message for fans following her arrest
It’s never a convenient time to be detained by law enforcing, but Mia’s birthday was on November 25. But she wasn’t going to let her legal woes get in the way of celebrating her 41st birthday. The former reality TV star is calling it her year of “alignment, elevation, and elegance.”
“This new year is about rebuilding, refining and rising with purpose,” Mia posted to Instagram the day prior. “I’m grateful for the clarity that comes through adversity, and I’m committed to moving forward with integrity and grace. Thank you for the love, my loves.”
Mia also posted to Instagram on Monday, “This past week reminded me of the importance of staying grounded, especially when life feels loud. I’m stepping into another year with clarity, accountability and gratitude. Challenges don’t define me — how I rebuild does.”
In April 2025, Mia announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Potomac. The controversial RHOP alum relocated her family to Atlanta. Mia and then-boyfriend Inc set up house together before she and the radio host called it off.
She further thanked those followers who have “shown love.” In the midst of it all, it’s worth noting that Mia has yet to be officially charged. Whatever happens, Mia promised herself to “embrace this next chapter with softness and strength.”
