Stacey Rusch needs allies on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Rather, the lady can hold her own against the group, but why be on the outs with everyone? Seemingly the only ally she has is Wendy Osefo. But the QVC professional’s venture into the cannabis business may cause strife in their friendship.
It was a source of conflict since the Season 9 reunion. Wendy questioned Stacey’s business timeline, suggesting that her co-star copied her cannabis line, Happy Eddie. In Season 10, Stacey officially launched Shayo Wellness Cannabis. The business name’s connection to Nigerian heritage struck a nerve with Wendy. So has anything changed now that the political commentator had time to process it all?
Is Real Housewives of Potomac’s Stacey Rusch copying Wendy Osefo’s business?
In a sneak peek, Wendy met Gizelle Bryant at a car dealership. While suggesting that she may end up getting a similar car to Gizelle’s, the former university professor joked, “I don’t want to pull a Stacey. This is not going to be another Happy Eddie situation.” She promised not to get the same color as Gizelle should they end up choosing the same vehicle.
“Speaking of Stacey, how are you feeling about your girl these days?” Gizelle asked.
Wendy responded, “I feel like sometimes people don’t know how to tell you that they like what you’re doing. So instead maybe, they mimic it.”
In a flashback, she is seated with Stacey at lunch and the latter RHOP star is speaking about her cannabis brand. “So I’m launching a line of gummies. The name of the brand is Shayo. It means ‘joy’ because I have an affinity for Nigerians,” Stacey shared.
Despite Wendy’s shock, she stood by Stacey. And even in the sneak peek, is supportive of her friend. She revealed, “there was also a time when she reached out to my stylist and said, ‘would you style me?'”
“So I just think if she sees something and she likes it, she want sto copy it. I don’t think she’s a bad person and hurtful. I think she’s so sweet,” Wendy told Gizelle.
She added, “I like her, but you all keep on jumping on her.”
Indeed, in a recent episode Stacey had to defend herself repeatedly at Gizelle’s podcast event. The group dynamic is becoming a trend on RHOP. Will Wendy stay the steadfast friend?
