Divorces can be very expensive. Aaron Phypers is learning this the hard way in his divorce from estranged wife Denise Richards. To help with rising costs, Aaron’s mother launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her son and to “get justice.” What does Denise think of that? Spoiler: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum isn’t happy about it.
Denise Richards called the GoFundMe “outrageous” set up on Aaron Phypers’ behalf
Denise spoke to her friend Tori Spelling on the latter’s MisSpelling podcast and touched on the ongoing divorce and the fundraiser. Her main beef with it is that Aaron’s mother, Patricia Phypers, brought her youngest daughter Eloise into the picture too. Denise also has two older daughters Sam and Lola whom she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
“Say whatever you want about it, which they have. I’ll deal with that after the divorce,” Denise said. “But you cross a line and bring my youngest daughter into trying to get money from strangers? It’s outrageous. That is wrong.”
The GoFundMe page was described as a way to help Patricia raise money for her son’s “legal defence” as the divorce continues. Patricia also mentioned Eloise in the website’s description. She claimed that she “cared for Eloise for weeks,” while Denise was traveling.
Aaron’s mom wrote, “Help my son fight for the truth and for Eloise.” As of Thursday the fund had raised $60 of its intended $30,000 goal. However, by Friday, it appears that someone has taken down the GoFundMe.
“It’s hard enough going through a divorce and the loss of that, but then to discover who this really is, that’s what is beyond hurtful,” Denise mentioned in the podcast. “Then to go to this level, to bring my daughter into it. It’s more a personal thing. It’s shocking. But whatever. I’m not surprised.”
Things have devolved quickly in Denise and Aaron’s divorce. Aaron first filed for divorce in July 2025 after six years of marriage. Denise was eventually granted a permanent restraining order and Aaron was evicted from the couple’s former home in Calabasas. Former lawsuits against him have also resurfaced.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
