The divorce between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker is growing messier by the day. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alums shocked the Bravoverse when they announced their split. I had high hopes that this break-up might be amicable, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Previously, Kandi shared what led her to file for divorce from her hubby of 11 years. “This is something that has been brewing for a while. Sometimes things don’t work out,” Kandi explained. “It just is what it is.” Now, custody of the former couple’s two children, Blaze and Ace, is at the forefront.
Kandi Burruss accuses ex Todd Tucker of failing to pay for their two children and mortgage
US Weekly reported that Kandi filed legal papers on January 8, requesting a hearing to decide child support and a parenting schedule. According to Kandi, Todd has not monetarily contributed to expenses for their children. However, she noted that he has gone on multiple vacations outside the country. Plus, Kandi alleged that Todd doesn’t pay any of the expenses, including the mortgage, for their home.
In her court documents, Kandi stated, “Tucker does not exercise parenting time with the minor children on a significant basis despite the façade of his two-to-three-minute social media videos chronicling his Daddy Daycare on his social media platforms.” Meanwhile, Todd has been fighting Kandi’s desire to keep the divorce sealed. As of now, a judge hasn’t decided on these requests.
In November 2025, Todd asked for primary custody of Ace and Blaze. In addition, he also requested that the prenuptial agreement not be enforced. As you may recall, Todd signed the documents on camera for the duo’s wedding spinoff. However, Todd’s court documents accuse Kandi’s attorneys of giving Todd the agreement without consulting Todd’s lawyers.
