Following four years of marriage, Summer House stars Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are going their separate ways. But for longtime fans of this series, well, many of us weren’t exactly shocked. Simply put, many red flags were waving here. And some of these warning signs were present from the jump.
Viewers met Amanda during Season 1. At the time, Kyle was already starring on Summer House. So, he invited Amanda to his cast’s inaugural, soon-to-be-annual, 4th of July weekend-long party out in the Hamptons. By the end of Season 1, Kyle and Amanda were an official duo, which cemented Amanda’s place on this cast.
However, Kyle was reluctant about the whole commitment thing. And that was our first telltale sign that these two stars might not last. Further supporting this assumption, shortly after, many other red flags quickly rolled into the Hamptons.
Kyle Cooke admitted to cheating on Amanda Batula during Summer House Season 3
During Season 3, Kyle admitted to cheating on Amanda multiple times. By that point, he and Amanda had been together for roughly three years. As for how his cheating admittance went down, on-air, Lindsay Hubbard informed Kyle that he had been seen “making out with a girl all night.” After, Kyle headed over to Amanda to get ahold of this narrative.
He could’ve lied. However, Kyle couldn’t “deny this” rumor. Instead, he remembered that “in April, [he] had a huge night out with friends and was acting selfishly” and “completely blacked out” while acting like a “New York douche bag.” But also, he had been caught cheating on Amanda “well over a year ago,” so he knew she’d likely not believe anything less than the truth.
So, Kyle admitted that there was a “rumor going around that [he had] hooked up with some chick in April.” In response, Amanda was “absolutely disgusted.” Nevertheless, she stayed with Kyle, but at least she noted that he had “no more chances” left.
Kyle and Amanda struggled to find a work/life balance during Summer House Season 8

Also in Season 3, Kyle started working on Loverboy, his original low-calorie, zero-sugar hard canned drink. His cast supported his efforts, often drinking his product during filming. But no one supported this man harder than Amanda. She helped build out the creative side of his brand, which meant leaving her full-time gig in the city behind.
But in Season 8, we saw the newly-married Kyle and Amanda struggling yet again. This time, Kyle explained, their tensions were rising because “we definitely weren’t really seeing eye to eye” on several things, “like the balance between work and our personal lives.”
He added, “We don’t make it easy on ourselves. We’ve been filming two TV shows for three years. We work together and [we run] a company, particularly in alcohol, where it’s insanely challenging, and that weighs us down. It definitely impacts our relationship.”
And then he called his wife “a f*cking b*tch.” Apparently, Amanda wasn’t obsessive enough with all things Loverboy. Instead, she was dreaming about building her own thing apart from Kyle.
The Summer House Season 10 trailer saw Kyle accused of sleeping at a fan’s house
Bravo recently released the trailer for Season 10. Since rumors were already swirling that they were living apart, our eyes were opened wide, searching for a clue that might put these rumors to rest. But, instead, this trailer magnified everything.
In it, we see Amanda talking about Kyle. He reportedly fell asleep at a fan’s apartment. He then “came home at like, 6:30 in the morning,” Amanda revealed to her horrified costars.
Furthermore, Amanda has been begging Kyle to cut back on his partying FOR YEARS. However, Kyle must not have understood, because he’s also now pursuing a life as a DJ. “I wanted him to stop going out and partying, and he found a career where he goes out late and parties,” Amanda correctly clocked in a voice-over.
To clear his name, Kyle spoke to People, explaining, “There’s no excuse for staying out as late as I did, but I want to be clear that I did not sleep at a fan’s apartment. I was at an event that Amanda chose not to attend, which moved to a bar and then to an after-party.”
Kyle didn’t show up in Amanda’s recent Instagram post
As for our final red flag seen before these two decided to officially call it a wrap in the public eye, take a look above at Amanda’s 2016 tribute post. On Instagram, Amanda included multiple images of her favorite moments from that year. And none of these moments featured Kyle.
Like us, Kyle also noticed this slight. So, he went into her comments section, writing, “I guess I was never in your camera roll.” He then ended his unnecessary jab with the laughing so hard you’re crying emoji. But, as fans tend to do, one quickly clocked in to Kyle’s barb after news of his split from Amanda sounded, writing, “This didn’t age well.”
We had to laugh here, because that statement couldn’t be any truer. As Amanda has stressed, time and time again on Summer House, Kyle isn’t aging as he should, neither online nor in his day-to-day dealings as a husband. Yet, Kyle is no longer her concern, because she is now a free woman. BRING ON SUMMER HOUSE SEASON 10!
Season 10 of Summer House premieres Tuesday, February 3, at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
