Kelly Osbourne has been receiving comments about her appearance recently, and one rock star’s daughter is not having it. Mia Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, has come to Kelly’s defense on social media.
This follows Kelly and mom Sharon’s appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards. The two were at the Manchester, England event on February 28 to receive a posthumous lifetime achievement award for Ozzy Osbourne. He passed away in July of last year.
Steven Tyler’s daughter Mia is defending Kelly Osbourne

Mia defended Kelly via her Instagram page on Monday, March 2, writing, “Public grief is not public property. Grief can change a person. That doesn’t make their body a topic for debate.” Kelly reposted the comment on her own page.
On Sunday, March 1, Kelly wrote on her Instagram Stories, “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. Kicking me while I’m down, spreading my struggles as gossip and turning your back when I need support and love most. None of it proves strength. It only revealed a profound absence of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way.”
The Black Sabbath frontman’s daughter has criticized those who have called her out about her appearance, posting on Instagram in February, “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are. No one deserves this sort of abuse! This too shall pass, but like, holy f***.”
The TV personality has been open about her weight struggles, speaking about her 2018 gastric sleeve surgery. In an August 2020 US Weekly interview, she said, “I lost, like, I want to say 35 pounds, 40 pounds, and then I stopped losing weight…”
