The Season 10 Real Housewives of Potomac reunion ended with Wendy Osefo addressing her extensive list of felony charges, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Crystal Kung Minkoff had some thoughts about it.
At the reunion, Wendy retold the entire story of the burglary that prosecutors claim never happened in great detail, all in an attempt to prove a point to her castmates that she felt blindsided by the arrest.
RHOP fans were squirming in their seats watching that moment play out, and so was Crystal. She doesn’t think it was a wise legal move for Wendy to keep talking about the burglary on television.
Karen Huger made a valid point at the RHOP reunion, according to Crystal
Crystal spoke about Wendy’s legal crisis during the March 9 episode of the Humble Brag podcast, which she hosts with Cynthia Bailey. The two of them reacted to Part 3 of the RHOP Season 10 reunion and Wendy’s verbose comments about her arrest.
At the reunion, immediately after Wendy finished telling her highly detailed recollection of the burglary,” Karen Huger jumped in with some tough love. She told Wendy that she should stop talking so much. According to Crystal, Karen’s tough love was just what Wendy needed.
“Karen is just like, — which I agree — ‘I can’t believe you’re here. I can’t believe your lawyers allowed you to come to this reunion and talk about it like you did nothing wrong.’ There’s so much evidence against them, but she doubled down,” Crystal said.
Crystal continued, “She tells this story so cleanly. I guess in her mind, this is the story, and that’s it, and I will be unwavering in this story. I’m not an attorney, but I don’t know. I just think you lay low. Skip the reunion, send your love. We’ll get through this as a family, wrap it up.”
Although Andy Cohen grilled Wendy on the arrest both at the beginning and end of the reunion, Crystal felt like Wendy showed up “fighting the other girls.” She said it seemed like Wendy went to the reunion “as if nothing happened.”
“Her charges could put her in prison over 20 years,” Crystal added.
She continued, “I would not be wasting my time on that couch. I would be with my kids. I don’t know. That’s my thing. It’s just really, really sad to me.”
The week after the RHOP reunion aired, Wendy and Eddie appeared in court. The two will now be tried separately, and Eddie allegedly waived his right to a speedy trial. Wendy, on the other hand, did not. It’s expected that her side of the case will be tried sooner rather than later.
