The former costars dated for about a year in 1998 while filming “Dawson’s Creek.” The same insider called them “the best of friends” and said their chemistry was “off the charts.” Holmes reportedly “lights up whenever Joshua’s around.” That framing tied renewed dating talk to a bond that never fully faded.
As per the same report, timing was the biggest reason people felt hopeful now. The source said, “Up until now, the timing hasn’t been right.” They also added that there seemed to be “nothing to hold them back right now.”
