Kathy Griffin’s recent visit to The View recalled some unpleasant memories regarding a couple of former hosts. Specifically, she didn’t exactly hit it off with either Elisabeth Hasselbeck or Meghan McCain. After appearing on the long-running show on April 24, Kathy had some harsh words for the two View alums.
In a video uploaded to YouTube on April 28, Kathy explained that she “loves” the show’s current hosts. However, she has some “feelings” about former panelists Elisabeth and Meghan. After she bluntly referred to Meghan as an “annoying c*nt” in the video, it was clear why she’s no longer allowed to appear live on the show.
Kathy had some thoughts on Elisabeth Hasselbeck as well!
Though Kathy’s obviously no fan of Meghan, apparently, Elisabeth is worse. “When they had Hasselbeck,” Kathy said, “I had to put up with her stupidity … [Her] indignant stupidity, which is kind of the most amusing.”
From 2003 to 2013, Elisabeth was a panelist on The View after finishing in fourth place on Survivor Season 2. During a 2010 episode, Elisabeth and Kathy fought over past jokes Kathy had made about her co-hosts. Elisabeth labeled the comedian’s jokes “untrue” and “not so funny.”
As for Meghan, who was a panelist on The View from 2017 to 2021, Kathy said, “I just love to go for her, because she takes the bait every time.” Historically, Meghan’s go-to defense is to accuse those who disagree with her of being “mean.“
“And now she’s gonna post about how I’m not a feminist,” the Golden Bachelorette hopeful continued. “That’s how this works, Meghan. One of these days you’ll pick it up.”
Ironically, Kathy confessed that she’s actually “had lots of Republican friends. And it will always be that way, even though I’m a big ole leftie.”
