Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is gearing up (literally and figuratively) for Season 5. And if rumors are to be believed, the famously difficult reality competition show is casting another controversial contestant. Alongside reality television contestants like Mauricio Umansky and his daughter Alexia Umansky of Buying Beverly Hills, the new season will allegedly include former politician George Santos.
Could George Santos join Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test?
This isn’t confirmed yet, but it’s not surprising. World’s Toughest Test has been known to cast controversial figures. Perhaps it’s the appeal of audiences seeing these personalities put through the rigors of the Special Forces training.
In previous seasons, they cast scandal-ridden reality TV star Tom Sandoval. And just last season, the show brought on Jussie Smollett after his alleged hate crime scandal. Could a former politician be far behind?
George Santos would likely be one of the show’s most controversial picks if ever. Due to his fabricated background, George was expelled from the US House of Representatives in 2023 and was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2025. However, the president commuted his sentence after he served roughly three months of it.
So technically, he is available to do the show. And George certainly has had to put his acting skills to use before. But would he last? The safe bet is no. The show is really hard, even for very athletic and capable contestants.
Reportedly joining him are several actors and sports personalities, including Ruby Rose, Oliver Hudson, Lesan McCoy, and Matt Barnes, to name a few.
Mauricio and Alexia are also in the lineup. This is the second parent-child pairing on the show put together. Last season, featured Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her daughter Gia Giudice. Gia was one of the big winners on Season 4. Could Alexia follow in her footsteps?
