Meghan Markle marks son Prince Archie’s birthday with rare yet sweet photos
On May 6, Meghan Markle shared two sweet, wholesome moments from Prince Archie’s life to celebrate his seventh birthday. The first photo showed a newborn Archie wrapped in a blanket and fast asleep on his father’s chest while Prince Harry lay on a couch.
The second photo appeared to be more recent and showed Archie and his little sister, Lilibet, walking on the beach together. The young boy was holding a walking stick in one hand and holding his sister’s hand with the other. In the caption, Markle wrote, “7 years later…happy birthday to our sweet boy ?”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are mostly raising their children out of the spotlight. Markle occasionally shares glimpses of Archie and Lilibet’s lives on her personal account and on her ‘As ever’ brand’s Instagram account. The couple has lived with their children in Montecito, California, since 2020, after they stepped back from their roles as working royals.
In a candid interview with PEOPLE last year, Markle shared that they are building a family with a sense of “normalcy.” She said, “Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do.”
Elsewhere in the interview, she spoke of the “day dates” with Archie. “Archie and I like to go and have lunch, share a burger and a Caesar salad, and have an ice cream sundae with two cherries on top,” she said. She was promoting her lifestyle Netflix series, “Love, Megan” at the time and shared several tidbits of the life they have built in Montecito.
