Any parent will tell you that raising children isn’t easy … and that’s true whether they’re toddlers, teenagers, or even 30. But what about the kids who end up becoming celebrities? Well, Dina Lohan – who is mom to Michael Lohan Jr., Aliana Lohan, Dakota Lohan, and, of course, Lindsay Lohan – just opened up about exactly that!
Dina Lohan claims she’s kept her family “grounded”

After raising four famous offspring, Dina knows a thing or two about celebrity parenthood, which she detailed in a chat with OK!.
“As a single mother, the priority has always been keeping our family connected. No matter what life looked like on the outside,” she explained. “That meant being intentional, making time for each other, staying present, and always keeping communication open.”
“We’ve been through a lot together, and I know that builds a certain bond,” she went on. “I’ve always encouraged my children to speak openly, to come to me with anything, and to know that I’m always in their corner.”
As for how she keeps that up with her children’s hectic schedules? “Even when life gets busy or public, we try to keep things simple at home,” Dina noted. That includes family dinners, checking in, being there for milestones, and showing up for each other when it counts.
Beyond being a mom, Dina is also a manager. Although she no longer manages Lindsay, she’s recently been involved in getting Aliana’s career off the ground.
“I always tried to lead with a balance of structure and freedom,” she said of combining motherhood with managing. “My goal was never to control their paths. But to give them the tools, confidence, and resilience to find their own.”
Dina went on: “I focused on strong values, work ethic, staying grounded, and trusting their instincts, especially in an industry that can be overwhelming at a young age.”
