SLOMW’s Taylor Frankie Paul Marks Huge Accomplishment After Controversial Few Months

Taylor Frankie Paul just celebrated a major win. The past few months have been rather controversial for this Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, also known as the axed lead of The Bachelorette Season 22. But these days, Taylor is doing her best to heal and move forward. And now, she has a great place to do so in.

On her since-expired Instagram Stories, which US Weekly captured, Taylor recently shared a positive update about her life. “I just bought my first house on my own,” she penned. Taylor also noted, “[I had] been renting for years.”

Taylor did not include an image of her new home. But that is understandable, since she is very much in the public eye these days. Yet, she did include an image of a swingset, set on top of a healthy patch of bright green grass, which her three children will likely love using. The custody of Ever, her youngest child, however, remains unknown.

Regarding that, Taylor is due back in court with Ever’s father, her ex, Dakota Mortensen, next month. As her attorney recently stressed, “She looks forward to continuing to cooperate with the Court to make progress in the custody case.”

During their last hearing on April 30, both Taylor and Dakota were granted mutual restraining orders, stemming from a domestic violence incident that took place earlier this year. Similarly, another incident also transpired in 2024. Dakota’s lawyer argued that he requested a restraining order “because of the most recent incident.” As a result, “he decided to break the cycle.”

But Taylor’s attorney had a different take. “He’s not just trying to come after her for custody,” he explained, and “He’s not just trying to seek a protective order.” Instead, her lawyer claimed, Dakota “wants to literally destroy her.”

It’s all been a lot, but as Taylor further shared on her Stories, “The amount of support is astonishing.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and The Bachelorette are streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
