Prince William has reportedly been upset with his father, King Charles, over the Sussexes. A source claimed that the Prince of Wales has allegedly been following a “zero leniency” rule. Therefore, he seemed unable to understand why the monarch had been giving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a “free pass.” According to the report, this could allegedly risk an “ugly argument” between father and son.
Prince William ‘livid’ over King Charles encouraging Sussexes’ actions, per source
Prince William and King Charles reportedly have not been on the same page about several matters. A source told Closer that the heir seemed to be “livid” over his father with the way he dealt with the Sussexes’ recent actions. It came after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unofficial trip to Australia last month.
“[William] wants to see consequences and instead he sees Charles practically encouraging it. He can’t stomach it as it is, and now, he’s bracing himself for Harry and Meghan’s big visit this summer,” the insider said.
Furthermore, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to visit the UK soon. Reports claimed that Charles would like to meet his grandkids and, thus, has seemingly been willing to reconcile. However, William has reportedly been against it since the beginning.
According to the source, the future king would allegedly not “stay quiet.” He would likely “confront” his father, which could allegedly lead to an “ugly argument.” Meanwhile, Kate Middleton has reportedly been “begging” her husband to “reconsider” his decision.
“There’s simply no way William will win, not with the mindset Charles is in these days. If anything, the more William pushes him the more he will go the other direction,” the insider claimed.
For those unversed, Harry and Markle left the UK and their royal duties in 2020. After they moved to California, the couple made shocking revelations about the royals in an Oprah Winfrey interview. Moreover, the relationship dynamic between Harry and his family got worse after the release of his memoir, “Spare.”
