Things are heating up again on our Southern Hospitality Season 4 recaps! This week, the crew enjoys one last dinner in Punta Cana, DJ Maddi makes her triumphant return, and friends realize that old hurts don’t always heal. Here’s everything that happened in Southern Hospitality Season 4, Episode 11: “This Beach is Crazy.”

What Went Down on Southern Hospitality Season 4 Episode 11?

The episode picks up right where we left off last time. Michols and the others are heading back from the church, and Michols is enjoying a newfound sense of peace.

But that doesn’t last long. The group is getting ready for one last dinner before Maddi’s gig and their last hurrah in Punta Cana. Before we head to dinner, we see the different couples supporting one another.

Maddi is nervous about her gig. Joe is doing what he can to support her and keep her calm. Meanwhile, Justin is talking to Charley on the phone. Right after he puts it down, he says, “I love you,” so she can’t hear. But he thinks he does love her.

And finally, Brad and Julia are also getting ready for their night out. They talk a bit about Emmy and their issues. Brad is ready to let it go. Julia supports his decision. It’s nice to see them there for each other.

Love is certainly loving in the Dominican Republic.

The last meal for the group is Under the Sea themed. Michols asks Maddi if she’s talked to Grace yet, and she says she hasn’t. She does think Grace is taking the right steps, though, and wishes her the best. Joe toasts his lady love for her upcoming gig and this very special trip.

Meanwhile, Michols shares his church experience. It was nice to see him reconnect with his past and get a type of release through crying and praying.

Emmy takes this moment to mention she wasn’t invited. Michols explained that he took people who were closest to him and supported his journey. She looks miffed. Awkward.

Eventually, Michols explains to her that he feels that she walks all over him, and he wasn’t in a place where he wanted to be silenced. Emmy asks Michols if he thinks she’s a horrible friend.

Uh-oh, that’s a can of worms.

Emmy gets a reckoning over dinner

Mia tells Emmy she has to take accountability for things she’s said and words she’s used, like “stalking, threatened, etc.” Mia says she’s heard the story Emmy’s told others.

Emmy tries to walk back everything she said about Brad, “banging on the door,” her “naked in the bathroom,” or the “stalking.” But what’s done is done.

Brad tells her she’s said such outlandish things about him that it’s even made him cry. Emmy tries to apologize, but she can’t even say what she’s sorry for.

In the end, Brad says he’d just like to co-exist with her since that’s all she’ll get for now. She agreed and says she’s sorry again, but she’s very emotional and tends to react a certain way. Michols intervenes here and says that’s no excuse. Emmy always thinks only about what Emmy needs.

Even when they spoke, she made it all about herself. As if on cue, Emmy starts sobbing. Eventually, TJ tells Michols he has to let her talk, because he can’t say everyone else has to try to be open but not do the same.

So, Michols lets Emmy talk, but she doesn’t realize why he’s so upset with her. Emmy is trying to say she loves Michols, but it doesn’t sound sincere.

The whole conversation is devolving into something almost comical. Maddi is freaking out about the cat while Emmy is pouring her heart out (sort of).

Meanwhile, everyone tells Michols he’s being a bit ambiguous about why he’s upset, and maybe Emmy doesn’t understand what he means. Mia tells him to be straight with her.

Eventually, they stop. Emmy goes for a walk with Joe. She feels like the victim (of course) and says if only her fiancé, Will, were there, he’d destroy everyone. Wow.

The crew realizes it’s time for Maddi’s gig and heads back to the resort. There are so many people already there, and the vibes are immaculate. It’s everything Maddi hoped for and more.

Once she gets on the deck, she kills it. She’s clearly in her element and having the best time. Maddi’s doing great and couldn’t have asked for a better comeback gig. The crowd is loving it.

Except for Emmy. She’s trying to support Maddi, but she’s too upset and walks away. Molly decides to check on her. Molly knows what it’s like to feel Michols’ wrath since he yelled at her, too. They bond over this, and Molly opens up about how bad she felt.

Emmy sees an opening and tells her that Michols was involved in her firing despite his saying he had nothing to do with it. Molly is mad, but she feels vindicated. Emmy says she knows what it’s like to be gaslit, so she needs to be honest.

However, once again, it feels like Emmy was only honest when it served her. She had all the time in the world to tell Molly, but chose this exact moment to come clean?

The gig is a huge success and signals the end of the Punta Cana vacay!

Moms on speed dial, and the crew is back at work

Everyone is back home. TJ and Justin call their moms. Justin is very close to his mom, and he tells her about Charley and how he thinks she might be the one. His mom is so excited for him and can’t wait to meet her.

The crew is back at work and getting ready for another fun-filled night. Joe is fully in Joey Bottles mode and working the door. He’s nailing it. He seems inspired by Maddi’s success and is inspired to do what he does best. He tells Leva that he has a newfound fire.

We also see that, for the most part, Leva doesn’t know about all the drama going down. Michols has tried to keep the drama from her all summer because he feels personal problems and work shouldn’t mix. It makes sense, but not sure if Leva will appreciate being kept in the dark.

Lake embraces a letter, and Grace reads the cards

Lake goes on a date with Nessa, her date from Joe’s Emo Night. Everything looks good. They are getting along really well. The pair talks about their lives and their connection.

Lake admits that she and her dad are still at odds about her sexuality. It bothers her, but she knows he won’t change his mind. She didn’t want to label herself before because of her dad and the potential backlash. But now she’s more comfortable. She proudly calls herself the “Q” of the LGBTQ.

Meanwhile, Joe and Maddi head over to Zach’s Daiqa to visit their friend, who is doing a show there. Surprise, it’s Ally Lewber!

Grace is also there, reading tarot cards. Maddi and Joe didn’t realize she would be there. It’s a bit awkward. Grace asks Maddi if they can chat for a bit, and they head outside.

Grace apologizes for what happened at Molly’s house during Girls and Gays Night. She tells Maddi she’s getting help and is in AA now. Maddi is happy for her, but she knows Grace relapsed just recently. Maddi says Grace is always on a healing journey but never seems to reach a destination.

Grace denies everything Maddi says and won’t take accountability for her recent actions. In the end, nothing is resolved, and they decide to end the conversation.

It looks like some hurts don’t heal right away. Is there still hope? We’ll find out next week!

Southern Hospitality airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
