All is not rosy right now in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship, claim sources. As per a report by Radar Online, the Sussexes are dealing with financial pressures, and that is allegedly affecting their relationship as well.
After shifting to Montecito, the couple has ventured into various projects, including Markle’s brand As Ever, the reality series “With Love, Meghan,” and philanthropic work through the Archewell Foundation. They have also undertaken tours to promote their work. Recently, they visited Australia for a trip that reportedly combined both charity and commercial engagements.
Despite their continued efforts, they have faced challenges in sustaining some of their projects, with Netflix reportedly canceling Markle’s TV show after two seasons and ending their partnership with As Ever. As a result, sources claim that financial anxiety is creating tension in their marriage. According to royal biographer Tom Bower, their estimated annual requirement to maintain their current lifestyle is around $3 million.
A source said, “Harry has become increasingly anxious about their finances behind closed doors and it’s putting enormous pressure on the marriage. He’s been sitting down with advisors, going through the numbers in detail and getting alarmed by just how expensive their lives in California have become.”
The source continued, “Between the security teams, the Montecito property, household staff, travel, PR advisers and maintaining the sort of image the Sussexes feel expected to project, the money going out every month is staggering.” However, Markle is reportedly confident that these challenges are only temporary roadblocks on the path to greater success, the source added.
