Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is currently filming, but the word on the street is that Wendy Osefo is on a midseason pause.
Last month, Bravo confirmed that she’d be back in the fold as a full-time cast member, despite her extensive list of felony charges. But a rumor has been going around social media that Gizelle Bryant, of all people, ran her off the show after catching her in a lie about her court case.
It sounds on brand for Gizelle, and we know that Wendy does have bigger priorities in her life right now, but is there any truth to these rumors? Not quite, according to multiple insiders.
A source said the rumors were “not true”
The rumblings about Wendy’s status on RHOP Season 11 started on Twitter/X when a popular Housewives gossip page shared an alleged scoop.
“Allegedly, Wendy Osefo has taken a break from filming after Gizelle caught her in a lie about her case,” the post said. “Sources tell me that Wendy will be back to filming… #RHOP.”
Naturally, that caught a lot of traction from RHOP fans, who were already dubious about Wendy’s involvement in Season 11. Think about it: If you were facing up to 15 years in jail for an insurance scam, would you keep broadcasting your life on TV for everyone to dissect?
Either way, Reality Blurb spoke to an insider who debunked the allegations about Wendy taking a break from RHOP. It’s the same outlet that first broke the news about Season 11’s cast, including Robyn Dixon’s return. With that in mind, we know they’ve got some legit sources, and they’re calling BS on this rumor.
“Wendy is still filming. None of that is true,” their insider said.
Reality Blurb spoke to a second source who reiterated that Wendy is still very much involved with Season 11. They confirmed that she’s not taking a break from filming, so don’t count out the professor just yet.
