Lisa Rinna Opens Up About Life After The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Lisa Rinna has a lot to say about her experiences on reality TV. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently discussed the emotional toll the show took on her and how she believes the network portrayed her to audiences.

In her final season on RHOBH, she was dealing with the immense personal grief of losing her mother, Lois. Throughout Season 12, she was at the center of some heated feuds on-screen. That included an intense fallout with Kathy Hilton.

It’s been a roller coaster of a life for Lisa, to say the least. In a candid interview at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, she talked about all the highs and lows she’s endured in her very public life.

According to her, what audiences saw on RHOBH is a sharp contrast from her real identity, calling her personality on the show heightened. She compared the Bravo machine to the controlling Hollywood studio systems in the 1930s, calling the network a “casino” where the house always wins.

During her time on RHOBH, she claims to have become “that character that sort of took an overriding turn and made everybody think that that’s exactly who I was.” She adds that when leaving the show, she wanted to get back to “being me.” When she came on board for The Traitors, she told herself she would be her authentic self.

Beyond what we’ve seen of her on TV, Lisa also delved into her unapologetic approach when it comes to finances. That includes her featuring in a Depends commercial and her QVC boutique ventures. These days, she says that she’s embracing new opportunities, including viral fashion week opportunities. In addition, she’s getting back into acting with an upcoming role in the series Running Point.

In February of last year Lisa had some harsh words about RHOBH referring to it as the “f*cking Titanic.” She also believed that Bravo wanted Lisa Vanderpump back.

Lisa Rinna’s book You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It came out this February.

You can stream episodes of RHOBH on Peacock.
