Lisa Vanderpump has a lawsuit to deal with on top of everything else she has in the works. The Vanderpump Villa star recently filed her response to a handyman’s claims that he was seriously injured while working at her Beverly Hills home three years back. Lisa argues the alleged incident wasn’t her fault.
The Bravo reality star argues Eric Nieto was negligent

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Lisa denied responsibility for the injuries handyman Eric Nieto claims he suffered in November 2023. Eric alleges he was working at her Beverly Hills home when the accident happened.
Lisa argued Eric’s own negligence caused the accident. She also maintained that if a dangerous condition existed on the property, it “was open and obvious” to anyone using the area.
Based on those arguments, she asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit and deny Eric any damages.
However, Eric’s complaint tells a different story. He claimed Lisa hired him to perform work at her estate. The job supposedly required him to use an interior staircase leading to the basement. Eric alleged the stairs were poorly maintained, causing his foot to become stuck. He said he lost his balance, fell, and suffered severe injuries to his lower leg and ankle.
The lawsuit comes as Lisa continues to expand her television career. She’s set to host the upcoming Oxygen series Snapped: Rich Bitch Rampage and executive produce the project. Earlier this year, she also made business moves after TomTom and Pump were listed for sale, though both brands remain operating under her ownership.
Eric is seeking $195,000 in damages. That includes compensation for pain and suffering, medical expenses, and other costs related to the alleged incident.
The case is still pending. A judge has yet to decide whether to grant Lisa’s request to dismiss the lawsuit.
