Jennifer Garner has opened up about her ex-husband Ben Affleck‘s personal life. The duo, who tied the knot on June 29, 2005, finalized their divorce in October 2018. Despite the divorce, the ex-couple decided to co-parent their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Now, as per a source, Garner feels that Affleck taking a break from dating is the best move for him.
Jennifer Garner believes Ben Affleck should ‘take a break from dating for a while,’ per source
According to Page Six, Jennifer Garner believes Ben Affleck taking a break from dating life is for his own good. “Jen thinks it might actually be good for Ben to take a break from dating for a while,” a source told Page Six. They added that Garner “cares about him a lot and only wants what’s best for him at the end of the day.” The source continued that Garner feels her ex has been “happier than he’s been in a long time.”
As such, the 54-year-old actress thinks “it could be healthy for him to keep putting that energy into himself, his work, and his family instead of jumping into a relationship.” The insider further explained that Garner is not trying to influence the “Good Will Hunting” star’s personal life. Moreover, she would reportedly support him in whatever decision he makes. “That said, she trusts Ben to make his own decisions and supports him either way,” the source stated.
On the other hand, a second source claimed that Affleck hasn’t completely ruled out dating. “Ben isn’t ruling out dating and would be open to putting himself out there again,” the insider shared. They added, “He has friends who have offered to set him up.” However, the source claimed he is “incredibly busy right now and isn’t sure he has the time for a serious, committed relationship.” They added that the Oscar-winner is currently focusing on his family and several upcoming projects. The individual explained that this is “where most of his energy is going.”
