Recently, a photo went viral, showing Summer House exes Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula laughing together in New York City. These images quickly prompted their fans to weigh in, but as Kyle just clocked, many of their speculations were wrong. So, Kyle entered the chat, sighing, explaining the backstory behind these seemingly happy-go-lucky images.

The last time viewers saw Amanda and Kyle together was during the Summer House Season 10 reunion, where neither party smiled much. Shortly after, they reunited for their next reunion taping for In the City. Thankfully, they exited that studio in a much happier place. But no, as Kyle just explained, that does not mean he and Amanda are back together.
Over the weekend, Kyle posted his explainer on his Instagram Stories, which @queensofbravo then reshared. “Alright, some of you have your tinfoil hats on,” he began. “So I’m going to respond to the picture of [Amanda and me] laughing and smiling as we walk out of the In the City reunion.” Regarding this sitdown, “It was a pretty chaotic, action-packed reunion for a Season 1 show.”
He continued, “Amanda was in the hot seat, and she opened up a lot more than I would say she did in Summer House.” Also, “I was in the hot seat, a lot of people were in the hot seat, and we all decided to get a drink together. Like, group therapy after you, kind of, leave it all out there.”
“Amanda and I were headed down the elevator, walking out the door, and just kind of laughing, like, ‘Can you imagine if there’s a photographer that captures us walking out together?’ And then, boom, that’s exactly what happened,” Kyle explained. “That causes us to laugh even harder. And yes, that’s all that there was to it, guys.”
