It’s been a whirlwind few days, weeks, and months for the Summer House cast. They have been embroiled in the dating scandal involving West Wilson and Amanda Batula. But it’s not just those on the show who have been caught up in it all. West’s ex, Meija Moreno, has also been thrust into the spotlight as a result … now, she’s speaking out.
To recap, West and Meija dated for some months before his romance with Amanda. Heck, he even wore a tie she designed during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Naturally, then, the end of their relationship came as a complete shock to Meija, but she was given the chance to open up about that in a special episode of Summer House titled “The Aftermath.”
Could Meija Moreno join Summer House Season 11?
In “The Aftermath” episode, Meija revealed she had spoken to West since the reunion was filmed, which prompted a bit of backlash online. Some fans theorized that she was trying to win West back, but she took to Threads to shut that down.
“Guys, I know it’s pathetic to speak to an ex, but have we not all been down bad for a man we shouldn’t be?” she said. “I loved him a lot, and our relationship ended in the blink of an eye.”
Meija continued: “I’m not trying to get back together with him, I promise.”
West’s ex went on to say that the Scamanda drama has been “one of the most heartbreaking experiences” of her life. On top of that, she confessed that dealing with it all in the public eye has made that heartbreak “even harder.”
Ultimately, Meija said the reason she spoke to West after the reunion is because she wanted an apology from him. “I’m not proud of it, but I’ll admit it.”
In another post, Meija thanked Ciara Miller, Kyle Cooke, and Lindsay Hubbard for giving her a voice on Summer House. “Ciara and I’s bond over our shared experience is something that means the absolute world to me,” she added. “That’s my girl no matter what.”
Could this be the beginning of a new friendship for Summer House Season 11? With West now out of the picture, that might well happen … which an US Weekly insider even hinted at!
Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
