Welcome to the recap for a special bonus episode: Summer House Season 10, Episode 20! Last week, the reunion concluded with more questions than answers. West and Amanda confirmed they didn’t have an affair; however, were they having an emotional one instead? And things weren’t any clearer regarding West’s timeline with his ex, Meija, and when he was seeing Amanda. In the end, all this drama left the group fractured. So, what happened next? Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 10, Episode 20: “The Aftermath.”
What happened in Summer House Season 10, Episode 20?

The hard questions that Andy Cohen missed at the reunion were handed over to Lindsay as she grilled Amanda on what really went down between her and West. Amanda claimed West gave her the attention she was looking for from Kyle, and she knew she was being selfish in receiving it. However, Lindsay warned that West was playing her for a fool and it was time to let him go. Meanwhile, West met up with Kyle and stated he had love for Amanda. He also admitted to doing Meija dirty. And Meija discussed just that with Ciara, as the two trauma bonded over their shared experience of being duped by West.
Lindsay thinks West manipulated Amanda

We start off 20 days after the reunion. Dramatic music swelled over shots of the city like we were in the opening of Christopher Nolan movie. And just like a Nolan film, I’m sure Amanda wished she could jump to an alternate timeline.
But instead, she found herself at Lindsay’s apartment to spill the tea regarding what went down between her and West. With glasses of Rosé in hand, the two got down to business.
Amanda shared how much Lindsay’s friendship meant to her and how she wanted to salvage what they had. Not once did she mention Ciara.
Still, Lindsay was game and said she would give her the hard truth she needed to hear. Lindsay told her, “You and West made a very adult decision. And now you have to deal with the very adult consequences that come with that.”
Amanda recognized she had made bad choices but said her relationship with Kyle was so bad, “I just wasn’t me anymore.” Hanging out with West made her feel young again. She said, “I felt such a euphoric feeling.” Welcome to the world of love bombing!
Then Amanda revealed it was West who had pursued her. Lindsay wagged her finger and stated West said the opposite. Regardless, Amanda claimed she told West “no” every time he texted her to hang out with him and his friends. But all that changed when she split with Kyle and realized she wanted to start going out.
Once West asked if there was more than friendship between them, Amanda started questioning things. Lindsay observed, “So, he manipulated you.” Dun, dun, dun!
Amanda said she felt “really f*cking stupid” about West

At this point, Lindsay reasoned Amanda shouldn’t have taken it further. But Amanda said she was being selfish because this was the first time she had felt someone cared about her … specifically a guy.
Lindsay responded, “A man. With a little wee-wee.” Never change, Lindsay. Lindsay then asked what Amanda’s biggest takeaway was from the reunion. And just like her current strategy, it was sticking her head in the sand. Amanda stated she didn’t remember because she shuts down when she gets yelled at.
Funny enough, Lindsay gave her the same pep talk that Ciara did during the finale episode that Amanda needed to love herself. Amanda said she told West if they were to move forward he would need to see a future with her.
Lindsay told her, “West, he’s already out there embarrassing you.” She said, “He f*cked Meija in March. He cheated on you … And somehow in this you’re the other woman.”
She added, “You blew up your f*cking life when you were winning. I hope that makes you angry.” Amanda said she just wanted to be loved from Kyle and she felt it “so much from West.” She said, “I just feel like really f*cking stupid.”
Lindsay quipped, “To be honest, you should feel stupid. And the only way to save yourself in this moment is to separate yourself from the sinking ship that West Wilson is … he’s gotta go.”
Amanda said, “I know.” But would Amanda pull the trigger?
West admitted he’s cared about Amanda for a “very long time”

We then cut to West paying a visit at Kyle’s (now much cleaner) apartment. When Kyle asked if West had been there before, he stuttered, “No,” but Kyle’s dog knew otherwise. Kyle said, “It’s so weird because she obviously knows you.”
West quickly glossed over that and brought up how he was upset that their friend group was in disarray. He said, “To watch it fully implode … it f*cking sucks.”
Kyle brought up West’s behavior with Ciara during the season that made him wonder what his intentions were. He felt the long hugs and “sensual touching” were misleading, and it was not okay when he did the same to Amanda.
West felt it was a “learning lesson” and hoped Ciara knew he tried to do the right thing “a handful of times.” He also came clean about Meija. West admitted that Meija thought they were exclusive and he did not behave like they were. Kyle finally felt they had a breakthrough and said this was what he wanted to hear at the reunion.
Kyle then went into dad mode and wondered what West’s intentions were with Amanda. Was he in love with her, and would he be faithful?
He didn’t sound convincing but West claimed he could be faithful and he did love Amanda. He said, “I have cared about her for a very, very, long time.” West added there was nothing “performative” about their relationship and he regretted how it went down. But he did not regret “developing feelings” for her.
Kyle took it all in stride but then flipped it back to Meija. He said he felt West owed her an apology. West stated, “I have owed, unfortunately, a lot of people apologies.”
Ciara and Meija spill the tea about West

Summer House gave us a surprise guest during the reunion, and that was Meija, West’s ex. She FaceTimed with Ciara and Kyle about West keeping their relationship a secret. And now we got to meet her in person as she went to Ciara’s apartment to dish on all things West.
There was no Rosé for these two, instead they gossiped over mimosas. Ciara apologized for Meija having to watch her and West make out on the show. Meija understood it wasn’t Ciara’s fault. She didn’t realize her secret relationship with West was secret just so he could fool around.
Meija shared she’d been in contact with West. And that they mostly talk via phone instead of text because of she who must not be named.
Ciara said, “Why the f*ck is he still calling you if he’s in this happy relationship and they’re trying to figure it out? Can you just admit that you guys, you blew up your whole f*cking lives to f*ck.” She then said that West gets off on the secrecy aspect and that she had that going on with him as well.
Meija agreed. She joked, “I thought I was in on it. Wasn’t!” She added she was ready to end things once she saw West took Amanda to Italy. Meija said, “I sure as hell not going to roll over and act like I didn’t exist and stay extremely silent. What did you think was going to happen in the end?”
The two then cheered to being trauma bonded, moving on, and having a better summer.
Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
