Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette Season May Finally Air on ABC: Details

It looks like ABC might be bringing The Bachelorette Season 22 back from the dead. After the network pulled the plug on Taylor Frankie Paul’s season following explosive allegations of domestic violence, most Bachelor Nation assumed the footage would never see the light of day. However, a new report suggests ABC could be preparing to move forward with the already-filmed season after all. But does anyone care at this point?

Ever since ABC suddenly paused Taylor’s season, just days before its scheduled premiere, we’ve all been scratching our heads, wondering what would happen next. Pulling a fully produced season of The Bachelorette was unprecedented, and reports at the time suggested the network stood to lose millions of dollars from their last-minute decision. That all could be changing soon.

According to TMZ, ABC executives are now discussing plans to air the season, and things could be moving really quickly. Allegedly, the season could hit screens as soon as mid-July. Go check your calendar. That’s only a few weeks from now.

Sources close to the franchise told the outlet that work never actually stopped on Season 22. Even after ABC pulled the season from the schedule, editors reportedly continued cutting episodes as if the show were still moving forward. If the network never intended to air the season, would they have continued investing their precious coins into finishing it?

That’s not the only sign pointing toward a possible release. TMZ also reported that ABC has been conducting audience testing to gauge whether viewers still have an appetite for more of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, and recent developments surrounding Taylor’s case could prove to be helpful.

Earlier this month, Taylor scored a major victory in her custody battle with ex Dakota Mortensen, securing unsupervised overnight visitation with their son, Ever. ABC may be trying to see if that changes things in the court of public opinion.

For now, none of this has been officially confirmed. Still, the signs seem to suggest that ABC hasn’t completely abandoned Taylor. Whether audiences are ready to embrace this long-delayed season remains another question entirely — especially when we already know who she chose at the end. Stay tuned.

The Bachelorette is streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
