Kash Patel’s girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, was trolled after her national anthem performance at the Donald Trump Fair on Wednesday. Wilkins, 27, had also sung ” The Star-Spangled Banner” among a sparse crowd at the National Mall a day earlier.
The performance took place during Trump’s Great American State Fair, where Wilkins appeared as part of the event’s celebrations.

An X user quoted her performance with the caption “omg she’s terrible.” Another one questioned who she is.
One user went on to tag the FBI director and wrote, “I’ve been a big proponent of you, Spiderkash, and honestly might be your last, but this is just embarrassing. How are you going to let her perform at US 250 after holding that other dudes hand in a time of emotional vulnerability? Doesn’t sound like what a man would do @FBIDirectorKash.”
Before her performance, Wilkins shared a post on Instagram celebrating the opportunity, writing, “What a great honour to be a part of the 250th anniversary of our great nation.”
As per Radaronline report, Journalist Marcy Wheeler, who runs the independent outlet emptywheel.net, also shared her reaction to the performance, criticizing the decision to feature Wilkins at the event. She wrote, “BREAKING: Because Trump can’t get real stars, the FBI Director’s side piece gets a slot!!! Goddess Bless America!”
Patel, 46, was seen watching Wilkins’ performance from the stage. Neither Patel nor Wilkins has publicly addressed the backlash. However, clips continue to circulate on social media platforms where users remain divided over Wilkins’ performance.
