Perez Hilton (real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) remains the focus of concern after his recent hospitalization. As fans await updates on his condition, one of his closest collaborators has addressed what comes next. His longtime podcast co-host, Chris Booker, said the future of their show is uncertain for now as Hilton focuses on his recovery.
Chris Booker says no decisions have been made about the podcast while Perez recovers
Booker shared an emotional statement in an Instagram post following Hilton’s hospitalization. They have co-hosted the Perez Hilton Podcast With Chris Booker for more than a decade. “I am so profoundly sad for Perez and his family and what they’re all going through,” Booker wrote. “It’s truly unimaginable.”
Booker said he briefly spoke with Hilton’s family and stressed that they want privacy during this difficult time. He also noted that hospital security measures have made it difficult for even family members to receive regular updates because of the high level of public interest.
He urged fans to rely on updates shared through PerezHilton.com rather than speculation. Booker also addressed the future of their iHeartRadio podcast and Patreon shows. “As for the shows, it’s all TBD at the moment as our collective focus is on his health,” he wrote. “I certainly hope to continue them with my friend when the time is appropriate.”
He added that the support from listeners has meant a great deal over the years. “We’ve done these shows for over a decade now and the support from our listeners has been resounding. He is very loved. I can only hope that he feels it. Heal up, friend.”
Booker’s message followed an earlier statement from Hilton’s team which said its priority remains his health, recovery and his family’s privacy. Hilton was hospitalized after an alarming TikTok livestream prompted concerned viewers to contact emergency services. Authorities later confirmed that they responded to the incident and connected with his family before he received medical care.
For now, Booker says the podcast will remain on hold while everyone focuses on Hilton’s recovery.
