Bravo Reportedly Has a Wild New ‘Real Housewives’ City in the Works

Real Housewives of Montana is reportedly in development, with producers searching for wealthy women to potentially join a new installment set in Gallatin County. Bravo has not officially confirmed the project.

Reports said the team behind The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County had begun looking for potential cast members. The search reportedly remained at an early stage.

Bravo is reportedly developing The Real Housewives of Montana around wealthy women in Gallatin County

According to Cosmopolitan, producers are working on The Real Housewives of Montana, with Gallatin County serving as the reported setting. The affluent Montana area has one of the state’s highest median incomes and includes Bozeman, Montana, as well as Big Sky, an upscale unincorporated community with a ski resort.

Reports said the potential series would focus on wealthy women from the area. The producers were reportedly interested in finding a cast made up of people who already shared a friendship and history with one another rather than bringing together strangers.

“They want a real, authentic friend group that already has a deep history with each other,” a source told The Sun.

The reports also suggested the show could feature families considered old money alongside affluent people who had moved to the area from other states. They also left open the possibility of tension between longtime residents and newcomers.

Producers reportedly had an interest in using locations such as the Yellowstone Club near Big Sky. The club describes itself as an exclusive, private, members-only ski, golf and adventure community.

The Montana setting also links the reported project to the Yellowstone television franchise. Reports said that connection could give Bravo an advantage in promoting the potential series and attracting a new audience.

Andy Cohen has previously discussed the factors producers consider when casting new Real Housewives installments. He named Chicago, San Francisco, Houston and Greenwich, Connecticut, as cities where the team cast potential groups but did not pursue a series. Cohen also said producers look for aspirational cities with distinct identities.

Reports said filming could begin in early 2027 if the casting process goes well. The Real Housewives franchise now has a dozen versions across the United States and other global locations.
