Teddi documented what happens on her immunotherapy treatment day
Mellencamp, who shares three children with her ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave, gave fans a glimpse into her treatment day. In a series of Instagram Stories posted on August 19, she shared that her 6-year-old daughter, Dove, gives her a hug before she leaves home for treatment. She then spoke up about her monthly immunotherapy treatment, calling it her “least favorite day of the month.” Despite the challenges, she said she had “all the necessities.” “So I am blessed,” she wrote, reports People.
The reality TV star’s cancer journey began in 2022, when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 melanoma. The disease is considered the deadliest form of skin cancer. She underwent radiation treatments and 17 surgeries to treat the invasive cancer.
However, in April 2025, she shared that the cancer had spread to her brain and lungs. She wrote in an Instagram caption at the time, “I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lungs. These are all metastases of my melanoma. The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them.” She also added, “I am feeling positive— that I will win this battle, that I got this wig.”
Mellencamp is the daughter of Hall of Fame rock star John Mellencamp and has become a star in her own right on Bravo’s reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She joined the cast in 2017 and remained a full-time cast member through 2020, appearing in Seasons 8 through 10. She later returned to RHOBH as a guest during Seasons 11, 12 and 13.
