Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that the Sussexes’ status might be a “nightmare for the Palace.” As they are not working royals, the Firm would allegedly not be able to control them. “Diary clashes will probably mean royal engagements are overshadowed by what the Sussexes choose to do and what they are, or are not, asked to by the Palace,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” told the outlet the same thing. According to her, Buckingham Palace would have “very little control” over Markle and Harry.
The Sussexes remain private, non-working members of the royal family, meaning they can pursue their own public and commercial projects. Schofield noted that their connection to the monarchy nevertheless continues to generate significant public interest. “That’s the complicated part. They can operate independently while still benefiting from an enormous amount of public interest that exists because of Harry’s DNA,” she said.
