Meghan Markle’s ‘Terrible’ Decisions Making Sussexes ‘Pariahs’ — Author

Meghan Markle is back in the headlines after author Tina Brown weighed in on the Sussexes’ royal family saga. As per a new interview, the former Vanity Fair editor discussed the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry’s California pivot and its fallout.

The remarks landed as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s balance media work with philanthropy in the U.S. Meanwhile, the couple’s relationship with the wider royal household remains tense, keeping public interest high.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in ‘difficult situation,’ per author Tina Brown

As per The New York Times report dated November 15, 2025, Brown says, “I have never seen anybody in professional life make as many mistakes as Meghan has.” She adds, “Unfortunately Harry is not the brightest bulb, either.” The editor argues Harry expected Meghan to guide their post-palace strategy. Yet, she continues, “Meghan makes one terrible professional decision after another.”

Consequently, “Now they’re pariahs everywhere, it seems,” Brown says, calling it “a very difficult situation.”The situation is difficult cause America is very hard to survive without proper financial resources due to its capitalistic nature, as per Brown.

Brown also praises Harry’s natural fit for duty. “Harry’s very good at being a prince, He’s charming, he’s upbeat, he’s attractive,” she says, citing his ease with people and youth programs. However, she believes that “he has realized too late that he was born to be a prince.” Therefore, she suggests a reset could help, noting, “It looks more and more as if Harry’s best decision would be to find a way to come back to England.” She adds that Prince William “is going to be the decider.”

Contextually, the royal couple‘s brand has included Archewell projects, streaming deals, and stateside appearances. Nevertheless, Brown frames the results as mixed, arguing that expectations outpaced delivery. Moreover, she positions the pair’s current image as the product of choices rather than circumstance. For now, the author’s assessment keeps debate alive around Meghan Markle, the Sussexes’ royal family dynamics, and whether a U.K. bridge back is realistic or even desired.
