Fans were shocked when Southern Charm star Craig Conover and his girlfriend, Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo split up. According to Craig, he bought an engagement ring and was getting ready to pop the question. Then, Paige pulled the plug in December 2024.
And she wasn’t shy about calling out Craig for his alleged faults, including talking to other women while they were still together. Plus, not defending her against cheating rumors. For Paige, that was the last straw with the Southern Charmer. She claimed that Craig was “dead” to her after he refused to speak out on her behalf.
Craig Conover says Paige DeSorbo “needs a villain”
Well, during the Season 11 premiere of Southern Charm, Craig didn’t hold back about Paige. “I was betrayed by the person I trusted most in this entire world,” Craig said in his confessional. “We had our whole future planned.” He told his co-star, Madison LeCroy, that he had moved on from “depression” to a “bummer-based” feeling.
“I never did anything to deserve becoming the villain in her story, but she needs a villain,” Craig stated, referencing how Paige shared details of their breakup publicly. Then, Craig discussed how he felt when he saw that Paige had moved on with someone else. He began to “see someone else” whom he had met years before in the Bahamas. However, his relationship with Natalie Buffet didn’t last because he needed to heal more. “I was just lonely and didn’t know how to be by myself,” he told Madison.
However, Craig does have hope for the future, as he believes that everyone has “three true loves.” So, since he loved Paige and Naomie Olindo, he has one still to go.
However, his optimism might take a hit after finding out that his buddy Shep Rose was trashing his relationship with Paige. At BravoCon, Shep was filmed by a patron in a bar, ranting about Craig and Paige’s romance being a “sham.”
Southern Charm airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo, and streams on Peacock the following day.
