Fans slam Broncos’ Jahdae Barron for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift reference in post
Broncos’ star Jahdae Barron got on the wrong side of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift fans. On Wednesday, November 19, he wrote on his Instagram stories, “Tell Swift put me on a song RIGHT NOW.” The story seemingly featured Kelce and Barron in a candid moment from their match.
By Thursday afternoon, Barron deleted the post after getting backlash from Swifties. However, in spite of that, fans continued to slam the Broncos’ star for unnecessarily involving Swift in this.
One fan commented, “The real estate that Taylor takes up in random men’s heads is incredible. She’s been working most of this season, barely shown at games, and somehow she’s still top of mind lmao.” A second fan hit back at Barron with a Swift song reference, “She did it’s called.. The Smallest Man Who Lived.”
Similarly, a third fan chimed in with a Swift song reference, “She did it already, it’s called I FORGOT THAT YOU EXISTED.” Finally, a fan penned, “Idk Abt Tay but Sabrina has one it’s called manchild.”
Notably, the Denver Broncos extended their winning streak to eight games after beating the Kansas City Chiefs 22-19 on Sunday, November 16.
Swift has referenced her partner Kelce in the songs “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Wood” from her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl. Previously, the global pop star took a playful dig at male sports fans when she appeared on the New Heights podcast on August 13.
She teased, “As we all know, you guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast. I think we all know that if there’s one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens — it’s more of me.”
