If you’re looking for a reason to cringe today, allow Leah McSweeney to assist. The former Real Housewives of New York participant posted an Instagram photo shoot with a caption so obnoxious that you’ll be dizzy from rolling your eyes.
In it, she tries to take credit for the downfall of the show that she just couldn’t wait to join. It comes as she continues trying to sue the network for how she was treated behind the scenes, but fans weren’t living for her antics in the comment section. One rotten apple can’t ruin the bunch.
Leah McSweeney faced backlash in the comments following the post
“Just a baddie that ruined your favorite franchise,” Leah wrote on Instagram alongside a series of risqué black-and-white photos.
The pictures show Leah cycling through a series of poses, trying her hardest to look like a professional model. In one photo, she’s on all fours in the back of a limo. Another features her in a blazer, cleavage out, making the exact same face that a baby makes right before unleashing hell into their diaper.
Although Leah didn’t call out RHONY specifically, it’s clear that’s what she’s referring to with the caption. What else would she possibly have to talk about if it weren’t for the show?
Of course, this post arrives as Leah continues her lawsuit against Bravo. She claims she was harassed by producers because of her alcohol addiction when filming RHONY and Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. A judge has yet to decide on that, but in the meantime, Bravo fans came together to let her have it in the Instagram comments.
“I wouldn’t give yourself too much credit for that,” commented one fan. Another added, “At least you’re aware.”
A third fan wrote, “I would say more like made things weird.”
At this point, Leah’s two-season stint on RHONY feels like a tiny blip in a series of mistakes for the franchise. Bravo rebooted the series, only for it to wind up on pause again two seasons later. Does Leah want to take credit for that, too?
Allegedly, producers have secured a cast for Season 16 and are moving forward. Frankly, it’s a relief. The more we can look ahead to the future of RHONY, the easier it is to leave Leah’s era in the past.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
