In the November 24, 2025, episode of his New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce talked to guests Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, who praised Kelce’s interviewing skills. “You nailed that,” Andrews said, referring to his Taylor Swift interview. “You freaking crushed that,” she added.
Enquiring further about how Jason did so well, Andrews asked, “Were those questions preprepared? Because you were just banging them out.”
Jason shared what went down behind the scenes. “We have a great editing team. They’re very good,” he said. “I think anybody could have done a good job interviewing Taylor. She was fantastic, and I don’t know. I appreciate you saying that. It was a lot of fun putting that interview together,” Jason added.
Andrews added, “You did a good job. Yeah.”
Jason went on to admit that he doesn’t even consider himself a good interviewer despite the praise showered on him. “I’m terrible. I can’t interview anybody,” Jason said, “I flip over my words. I stumble, but that was a fun one for sure.”
The episode featuring Taylor Swift went on to become the biggest New Heights episode to date and garnered global acclaim.
