Despite a thrilling Thanksgiving showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys, one face was missing from the stands: Taylor Swift. The pop superstar was not in attendance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the November 27 away game, where her fiancé, Travis Kelce, took the field.
Taylor Swift misses Travis Kelce’s Chiefs vs. Cowboys match
Taylor Swift has been an enthusiastic supporter at Travis Kelce’s home games this season, but she missed the Chiefs’ Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys.
Just days before the Thanksgiving matchup, she was on hand at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, to watch the Chiefs secure an overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 23. However, her support for away games has followed a different pattern this year.
Swift seems to have intentionally maintained a lower profile at games this season, often slipping into her private suite unnoticed. A source told Us Weekly in October that the intense public scrutiny was “getting too excessive.” This desire for a more private life extends to her travel plans, as she has not accompanied the team to Kelce’s away games so far this season.
The couple’s absence from each other on Thanksgiving appears to be part of a larger, family-focused plan for the holidays. With the Chiefs scheduled to play on both Thanksgiving and Christmas, it looks like their precious downtime is reserved for loved ones. “It will be very low-key, family-centric and [won’t involve any] major travel,” an insider claimed about their holiday plans in October.
The source added, “Travis fits right in with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They talk all the time… make sure to see both sides as often as they can. They are super family-oriented, and they have always loved that about one another.” This family-oriented approach was evident last year when Swift’s family reportedly hosted the Kelces in Nashville for Thanksgiving.
