Donald Trump is berating yet another female reporter. This time, the US President said it directly to their face rather than online. He was being questioned during a press conference against the Afghan suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, accused of shooting two members of the National Guard in Washington, DC, on Wednesday.
Nancy Cordes, the chief White House correspondent for CBS News, mentioned that the suspect had been vetted. He had also reportedly been working closely with the CIA in Afghanistan for years. Donald said it was his predecessor Joe Biden’s administration that is to blame.
When Nancy responded, saying that Donald’s Inspector General said this yer that there was a thorough vetting of Afghans, the President snapped. “Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person?” said Donald.
Donald Trump has faced backlash for how he speaks to female reporters

Donald’s latest rant won’t ingratiate him with female reporters. It’s nowhere near the first time that he’s gone after a woman journalist during either of his terms as President.
Earlier this week, he fired back at New York Times columnist Katie Rogers, who wrote a piece suggesting the President was fatigued and that he’s not in good health. On that occasion, Donald went on Truth Social to berate her, saying she’s “ugly” among other things.
As for the suspected shooter, Donald continued to put the heat on his predecessor. He said there’s a law passed that makes it almost impossible to get them out once they come in. Donald reiterated that they entered the country without being vetted.
He called the Afghanistan situation a mess, saying it should never have taken place. During his rant, his focus was squarely on the reporter while throwing shade at Joe without addressing her question.
On another occasion this month, the President said to Catherine Lucey from Bloomberg, “quiet Piggy.” She was asking about the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
