Candiace Dillard Bassett is not mincing any of her words when it comes to Nicki Minaj. Instead, this Real Housewives of Potomac alum is reading Nicki’s “pick-me-ass” all the way down to the ground, thanks to the rapper’s latest moves. As headlines have recently reported, Nicki has aligned herself with the MAGA movement. And now, Candiace would like a word.
Candiace accused Nicki of “betrayal”
After seeing Nicki onstage at a Turning Point USA event, Candiace felt a certain type of way. Yes, Candiace already has a rather complex history with Nicki, who made Candiace sing acapella during the Season 6 reunion. However, Candiace was still able to compartmentalize her feelings, keeping respect towards Nicki as an artist. But after watching Nicki onstage at this MAGA-heavy event, Candiace now has zero grace left to give.
During a recent episode of her Undomesticated Podcast, Candiace addressed Nicki’s recent political headlines. She also spoke about her former frustrations with Nicki, noting, “she was shading me a little bit. I still feel that way. But I took it on the chain and kept it moving.”
Candiace continued, “Even after we had our little thing during the reunion and I felt a way about her, I still respected her as an artist. I still lauded her as being one of the greatest in Hip-Hop, one of the first to blaze a trail for a lot of the newer age female Hip-Hop artists.” But now, Candiace “officially no longer give[s] a f*ck” about Nicki. Instead, Nicki “is now solidly categorized in the box of all skin folk and kin folk,” Candiace stressed.
As Candiace ended, “Nicki Minaj is a pick-me-ass, Uncle Tom-ass clown-ass degenerate.” Nicki grew to fame “because of a community that she has now decided to turn her back on, betray, and stab. It actually hurts me to have had to witness that display of monkeying around.”
