Ryan Murphy has already broken a record with his new show, The Beauty, which hasn’t even premiered on TV yet. The sci-fi thriller series has an incredible lineup of famous faces confirmed to star in it and is scheduled for release later this month.
The Beauty trailer is FX’s most-watched teaser
Per Deadline, the teaser for The Beauty, which only dropped last week, has racked up nearly 190 million views across social media platforms, making it the most-viewed trailer ever for FX.
“Death Becomes Her meets The Substance,” someone on YouTube commented on the clip, referencing two similar box office movie hits. “Literally sooo excited,” another person said, while a third added, “The casting director needs an award. Everyone is amazing.”
And, speaking of the cast, it’s pretty impressive. Bella Hadid has a role in the upcoming FX series, along with the likes of Evan Peters and Ashton Kutcher. Elsewhere in the cast you’ll see Jeremy Pope, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Isabella Rossellini, Meghan Trainor, and Nicola Peltz Beckham. That’s not all, but you’ll have to tune in to see the rest.
As for The Beauty’s storyline? The much-anticipated series is about a sexually transmitted disease that makes people, well, beautiful. However, there’s a twist … a string of mysterious deaths.
Ryan (best known for shows like All’s Fair and American Horror Story) collaborated with Matthew Hodgson to write the new FX series for television. The Beauty is based on a comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley.
If, like us, you’re excited to tune in, then you don’t have to wait long. The first three episodes will premiere on FX and Hulu in the US, and Disney+ elsewhere, on January 21st 2026. Tune in on Wednesdays to catch the rest of the episodes in the 11-part series.
