Ever dreamt of seeing Britney Spears perform live? Well, British (and Australian) fans may actually have the chance soon. The singer recently revealed that she’s planning to head to the UK for a new tour – with a very special guest. The news comes after she announced she will never perform in the US again.
Britney Spears says she’ll be performing in the UK “very soon”
Britney may soon be putting her barefooted home-based dance performances on pause. In a new social media post, the singer said she’s ready to perform again – in the UK and Australia.
Alongside an old snap of her posing at a piano, she wrote: “Sending this piano to my son this year!!! Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life… I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon. He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”
If the tour goes ahead, it would be her first in nearly eight years. The last time she performed was in Texas in October 2018 as part of her Piece Of Me Tour. Britney has reportedly been making good progress in rebuilding her relationship with son Jayden Federline, although sources say oldest son Sean Federline is still wary of their mom.
This isn’t the only recent news of Britney returning to performing. She is also rumored to be headlining Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach concert. The annual event draws huge crowds – Lady Gaga played to two million fans last year.
