Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is soon expected to leave the mansion where he has lived for decades. But, the relocation of the former Prince from Royal Lodge is causing trouble for King Charles, per palace insiders.
Some royal aides are concerned about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s future
To recap, Andrew was last year stripped of his final royal titles, evicted from Royal Lodge, and forced to handover his firearms. Because of that, some aides think King Charles has gone too far, according to sources who spoke to Radar Online.
“There is an increasing feeling that what began as firm discipline is edging toward something that could have serious psychological consequences for Andrew,” an insider said.
Per the insider, the main issue is Andrew’s relocation to Marsh Farm. The modest property on the Sandringham Estate is very different to the mansion he’s due to leave. “There is no way [Marsh Farm] can accommodate the lifestyle or possessions that defined his life until now,” a source claimed. “That realization has hit him hard.”
“To Andrew, being sent there feels like banishment,” the insider went on. “It is a very visible marker of his fall from grace.”
Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that those who “care” about Andrew are “seriously concerned” about the impact on his mental health. And that includes his siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
“Anne has made it known that she believes the King is in danger of overreaching,” another insider said. “And Edward broadly agrees with that view.”
Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is also concerned. “She is genuinely worried about his state of mind and how he is managing under the pressure,” another insider alleged. “From her perspective, he is struggling to cope with the scale of the changes being forced on him, and that has become a serious concern.”
