Bachelor fans were shocked when Matt James and his girlfriend of four years, Rachael Kirkconnell, called it quits. The duo split in January 2025. So, it was a bit of a shock to find out that Rachael was hanging out with Matt’s good friend, Tyler Cameron.
As you may recall, Matt gave Rachael his final rose during Season 25 of The Bachelor. However, he declined to propose. The couple split up after controversial photos of Rachael at an antebellum-themed college party made the rounds. Eventually, the duo reconciled. However, Rachael was allegedly blindsided by the end of their relationship.

Meanwhile, a couple of months after their break-up, Rachael shot down rumors that she was spotted with Matt. The Instagram account DeuxMoi posted a fan message, claiming that Matt and Rachael were spotted in Kips Bay, New York. “Hmm wasn’t me lol,” Rachael wrote in the comments.
Well, Rachael was recently spotted with a member of Bachelor Nation. She posted a TikTok of a ski outing with Tyler. In the clip, Rachael, who was sitting in the snow, lip-synched to the audio, “Why do we always have to get involved? Can’t we just do normal stuff that normal people do? Like, go for brunch?” After delivering her dramatic line, she fell back in the snow.
Next, the camera turned to Tyler, who mouthed, “What the f*** is brunch?” He was obviously ready to hit the fresh powder. Rachael captioned the cute post, “Send prayers y’all. Tyler is trying to kill me @Tyler Cameron.” Of course, some of Rachael’s followers jumped into the comments. “You got Tyler in the divorce?” one fan wrote. Another user posted, “Wait a minute.”
If fans seemed surprised, it may be because Tyler hinted that he and Rachael have a spicy relationship. “[Do] we have a love-hate relationship?” He previously remarked. “I think it’s just we have two strong opinions and way we see things, and we sometimes clash.”
The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres on March 22, 2026, on ABC.
